Availability and Uses in Pakistan

Onyx is primarily used for decorative purposes, including:

• Jewelry: It is used to create rings, pendants, earrings, and other jewelry pieces due to its translucency and ability to be polished to a high luster.
• Ornaments: Onyx is used to make decorative objects, such as vases, bowls, and sculptures.
• Building Materials: In some cases, onyx is used as a building material for countertops, flooring, and wall coverings.

Due to the limited availability of onyx in Pakistan, the country relies on imports to meet the domestic demand for this valuable gemstone.
